The internet is known as the guiding technology of the information age, it is known as the “network of networks”, which connects the whole world combine together, nowadays its platform is largely based on wireless communication.  The internet is the invention of 1983, from the time it has changed the world. The growth of the internet has become high and it provides unique information to the users.  It is claimed that about 95% of information has been digitized which becomes accessible through the internet. In recent years, the internet has received a lot of negative news, various articles focus on privacy issues, security issues, increasing fake news, widespread of unsafe activities such as cyberbullying, cyber theft, unsafe websites that are not suitable for children and other users. With all major technological changes, there are positive and negative effects of the internet on society.
 
Positive effects:

• The internet provides effective communication through the use of instant messaging, emailing and to its users throughout the world.

• It saves the time of those who manage business interactions or dealings.

• It is also beneficial for E-banking and online shopping.

• Users can access the latest updates, news, and information from any part of the world by using the internet.

• Nowadays in this pandemic situation the whole the world is fighting with the current pandemic situation, while the internet become helpful for educational organizations or instructors to provide E-learning to their students.

• Education received a high boost as learners and researchers access the uncountable books and journals for their learning.

Negative impacts:

• Users, teenagers, and children can easily access harmful websites, where illegal and harmful materials are available which is not suitable for these users.

• Addiction to social sites can disturb the personal and professional lives of individuals.

• By using the internet hackers can easily hack the individual’s account for illegal use or spurious activities.

• Hackers easily steal someone's data or banking information.

• Still, others use the internet for spreading hate speech, which highly impacts on growth and development of societies.

• Unauthentic websites are providing fake educational material or content, which can distract the learning process of the learners by sharing unsuitable content.

Suggestions:
Every individual should be careful in the world of the internet, they should care for themselves and avoid the negative use of the internet, avoid unauthentic websites, and be careful in sharing any information on social sites. Parents should monitor their kids’ activities on the internet themselves.
In conclusion, the internet is one of the best tool ever invented for the help of humanity, but there is still some hate speakers promote negativity throughout society by using the internet.
