principles of teaching there is a misconception that anyone who knows the subject matter can also teach it, every individual who wants to be a teacher need to have match your subject as well as in methodology of teaching, both his parents enjoy the importance and teaching process teaching is governed by certain principles which are essential to be followed in teaching, teacher need to have proper understanding of these principles which are as under 

1 A well balanced curriculum

education as a source for an individual to become productive member of the society and satisfied self interest and need and activities to be carried out in school to attend the set objectives, teaching should serve both purpose and moreover curriculum offers both theory and practicum teaching needs to follow approach to justify both theory and practice

2  variety and teaching methods

There is no single method that can achieve all set objectives of the curriculum. there are many prescribed teaching methods and are used for specific purposes. studies reveal that only ten percent students of a class understand the lecture properly. teacher has to make use of other methods to increase this percentage. demonstration may be good in a situation and discussion method may be suitable to develop understanding of controversial issues. then may opt questioning method for teaching in another context in one teaching situation. teacher should have the knowledge of different teaching method and also have the ability to apply the most appropriate to the situation. teacher need to apply several teaching methods during a single lesson for effective teaching.

3 Active Learning

a student has to be mentally and physically active in teaching learning process, teacher need to create environment where students is mentally active rather passive, selected teaching method should develop clearstory and longing to know more students for effective teaching learning process suitable selection of teaching method fosters active learning.

4 Lesson Planning

lesson planning is essential for effective teaching-learning process teacher needs to be familiar with the objectives of the lesson, teaching material and decide how methods before actual class from delivery, however lesson planning should not be rigid but has to flexible to be adjusted in unforeseen situation a sound lesson planning ensures effective teaching

5 Interest and motivation of students

Students learn only if they are interested to learn. teaching must take into consideration the interest of a student while teaching. interest rate motivation as well feeling of a achievements reinforces interest and motivation. Reward and appreciation also motivate students to learn. Oral Appreciation develops encouragement. Teacher should appreciate student when he or she making progress and of a constructive criticism when errors are repeated again and again.

6 Democratic environment;

During teaching environment of the class has a friendly and democratic where every student is equally treated and in retrun they also exhibit awareness of their responsibilities. Teacher promotes cooperation and has equal expectations. Group decisions and consensus are common features of Democratic environment.

7 Recognition of individual differences

Generally class comprises average, above and below average students. Learn fast and some take time in learning. Also difference among students regarding background, income, education, family and social status. Good teaching recognises individual difference among students and select methods of teaching and learning activities to cater the needs of all
