Festivals
The opportunities provided by the festivals for the celebration of history and religious teachings. Muslim festivals are mainly a time for loved ones, relatives, and neighbors to spend time and share happiness together.
Eid-ul-Adha
In the Muslim calendar, Eid-ul-Adha is another most important festival as it remembers the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim's when Allah commanded him to sacrifice his son.
Allah showed up in Ibrahim's dream and commanded that he sacrifice his child Ismail as an act of obedience. The Devil enticed Ibrahim by saying he ought to resist Allah and save his child. As Ibrahim was going to slaughter his child, Allah halted him and gave him a lamb to slaughter in his place. This shows Ibrahim's compliance with God. It is very significant for Muslims to remember that the animal or its meat doesn't need by God but Allah wants Muslims to show their loyalty to him.
Eid ul-Adha is an open occasion in Muslim nations, however, Pakistan takes a vacation day work or school to commend this celebration. Muslims show that they also are set up to forfeit their lives for Allah, by partaking in this celebration. The celebration is commended as the followings:
A goat, sheep, camel, and cow sacrificed by Muslims to the reminder of Ibrahim’s obedience to Allah. After the sacrifice of animals, each one gets the third share and the meat distributed among the neighbors and the poor peoples. Muslims wear new dresses and go to Mosques for prayers. Eid ul-Adha is an important event for Muslims to celebrate with their friends, families, and neighbors. Today Eid ul-Adha is celebrating around the world. It is probably the holiest celebration in Islamic confidence. We are wishing the Eid al-Adha Mubarak to whole humankind around the world.
